Many of the administrators I admire maintain a regular blog, so I guess I’ll join their ranks in this regard as well. As I spend my summer reading, preparing, and dreaming about my upcoming career, I find myself excited by the scope of a principal’s job. The best description I have received for what a principal is, is an “inbetweener”, meaning the principal is the one who sits between many other groups: staff & board, teachers & students, teachers & parents, school & community, etc…
Though I may not be sure what my job will look like in any specific details, I do know I trust my God and Father and the process He used to bring me to this place (John 3). I know that that He will use me, protect me, and challenge me for the sake of the kingdom (Romans 5). Pray for my family and me to transition well, back into the city life, and that we can continue to serve the Lord dutifully in the Christian community of the GRVD.
